Children at SEC Fundecitrus

Surveys show that the principal reason why children join the labor force early is the lack of a place and occupation to keep them busy for the period in which they are not in school.

More important than the salary, parents worry about leaving them in the streets, since schools function nine months a year, four or five hours a day. Therefore, Fundecitrus is joining forces with citie's Governments, in an effort to reduce the number of children in the labor force and to prevent them from staying in the streets.

The Supplementary Education Centers mantained by Fundecitrus aim at the improvement of the quality of life for children in school age.
