Strictly personal reasons have led me to leave this institution after three years of interacting and working with outstanding co-workers. It was a very intense, rich and extremely gratifying period for me from a personal and professional viewpoint. During this period, I had the opportunity to learn about and increasingly admire this institution called Fundecitrus. I could confirm the loyalty and dedication of its workforce, of the people who work in this institution. Here, I made new friends and I had the opportunity to get acquainted with producers, technicians, researchers, and leaderships of the citriculture sector, from whom I received support and from whom I had the opportunity to learn a lot. Plenty has been said about Fundecitrus, especially as a model capable of bringing together government and private enterprise to perform one of the most important and complex tasks of agribusiness - phytosanitary defense. I will always remember Fundecitrus as an entity that overcomes challenges. I admire this institution especially because it is capable of finding energy and strength and surviving crises and difficulties. We are facing another huge challenge - greening. But I believe in the power of overcoming problems that the citrus sector has shown over time. I will close this editorial with a quotation attributed to Albert Einstein, the same quotation I used during a presentation in Citriculture Week, in the City of Cordeirópolis, since it seems opportune and significant for the agriculture sector: "In confusion, look for simplicity. In disagreement, look for harmony. In difficulty lies opportunity." I am very proud that I can say, "I worked in Fundecitrus three years". I am going to miss you all. |
